Each Monday we review our server logs to determine the most popular terms typed in on our used car search engine. This week's results were dominated by Japanese used cars. The top ten used cars searches were:
Hyundai Used Cars
Volkswagen Beetle Convertible For Sale
Infiniti G35 Coupe for Sale
Used Honda Accord Coupe For Sale
Used Honda Accord Coupe
Used Infiniti G35 Coupe
Lexus Sc400 For Sale
Nissan Used Cars
Honda Accord Coupe For Sale
Mitsubishi Used Cars
Hyundai Used Cars - The Winner
The leading used car search, Hyundai Used Cars, was typed in 506 times. A few years ago Hyundai Used Cars was near the bottom of our list, kudos to the Korean automaker for focusing on quality and safety or the last couple of years.
Volkswagen Beetle Convertible - Runner Up
The next leading used car search surprisingly was Volkswagen Beetle Convertible for Sale, which was typed in 445 times. It's our guess that the used VW Beetle made the list because VW recently announced a redesign of the popular used Beetle convertible.
Honda Accord Coupe - Still the Most Popular
The 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 9th terms all were used coupes. In their respective order, Infiniti G35 Coupe for Sale and Used Honda Accord Coupe for Sale were search for 384 times, Used Honda Accord Coupe was close behind with 364 searches, Used Infiniti G35 Coupe had 337 queries, and Honda Accord Coupe for Sale trailed with only 283 inquires. We should note however, when combined, the variations of the Honda Accord Coupe crushed the competition with 1,031 searches.
In the 7th spot was Lexus Sc400 for Sale with 307 searches, right behind that was Nissan Used Cars with 303 used car searches. And ending the list in the 10th position was newcomer Mitsubishi Used Cars with 243 queries on our used car search engine.
Absent from the list this time was Used Ford Rangers, which finished in the top 10 with 263 requests last week and was in the top ten used car searches for 13 weeks in a row. This week's used car search results clearly indicate, that as fuel prices rise, Americans still look to foreign automobile manufactures to find fuel efficient used cars with high mpg's.
