Both vehicles, the
2009 Versa
and the
2009 Fit
have a Basic 3 year / 36,000 mile warranty in addition to a 5 year / 60,000 mile power train warranty. The Honda Fit, however, has an additional 5 year / unlimited mile corrosion warranty.
MPG and Driving Distance
In similarly equipped models the Fit is likely to drive a few extra miles per gallon of gasoline than the Versa. The Versa, however, will get you further on a tank of gas with its 13.2 gallon tank, compared to the 10.6 gallon tank on the Yaris.
Price
In similarly equipped models the Versa is typically priced lower that the Fit.
Engine
The Versa S and SL has more slightly more power than the Fit models. The base Versa comes standard with 1.6L, 107 horsepower 4 cylinder engine, optionally the 1.8L engine available on the Versa S and SL will give you 122 horsepower. The Fit has a 1.5L engine with 177 horsepower.
Size
Both vehicles are small and have virtually the same headroom. The Versa, however, has 3.5 more cubic feet than the Yaris.
