Easy deal on car, horrible tactics on everything else

We made a great deal through the internet department of Maroone-Hollywood on a Honda Civic. We were encouraged to come sign papers. That's when the nightmare began. At the dealership, the sales and financing staff threw every sleazy dealer tactic at us. First, they tried to tell us that being self-employed wouldn't work, because Honda was a "stickler" w/financing. We responded that our credit was excellent. Then, they said we didn't have enough credit. When we pointed out that we had established credit for over 5 years w/ a good available credit/debt ratio, they said they "misread" the sheet, & checked rates again. They came back with a horrible offer, longer loan term than we wanted and 1000's more down. They gave us the "1st time car buyers" routine. We wouldn't budge, so they dropped the high APR by 2%. Then they said they’d do our requested loan term, but the APR would be the same as the longer one. We walked out & the man said "good luck, you're not ever going to get a better rate." The next morning, my husband received a phone call from a potential lender, who told us the APR we were approved for. It was low, & EXACTLY what we knew we could get! The next day, they miraculously dropped the APR another 2%, but it was STILL OVER THE BANK AMOUNT BY 2.0%!!! After I let them know I was onto them, they became very rude and were suddenly "too busy to talk.” Also, after we told them no they still dinged our credit w/ multiple inquiries from some sketchy lenders.
