About a year ago, they had their fuel pump, filter and their computer board replaced that controlled the fuel pump.. This is in their 2000 Dodge Stratus…. Well, on Sunday, we were at farmer jack and the car died. The engine just wouldn’t turn over. They had the car towed to Village Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep on Woodward in Royal Oak. We dropped the car off using the drop box and left a message describing the issue and that we were very confident that it was the computer board (which is still under warranty) based on prior situation that had the same behavior of the vehicle. The dealership took the car in and said it wasn’t the computer board, replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, some plug and some wiring. The plugs and wiring are fine with us, being it probably needed to be done anyway. However, we got the car back and within 10 miles the car broke down again doing exactly the same thing as what we brought it in for. The car was towed back again yesterday and we argued that it was the computer board again. Later in the night they called and said it was the computer board and the computer board that was not working properly was the one that controlled the fuel pump. So we argued that they should have looked into that in the beginning, that they just screwed us out of $1400 to replace the fuel pump, fuel filter, and labor. They are claiming that the two issues are completely different and that the fuel pump needed to be replaced too and that if the computer board would have been fixed from the beginning that the fuel pump would still have to be replaced. Saying that the two had nothing to do with each other…..I find that very hard to believe……btw there was just a new fuel pump installed last June, so I don’t think the fuel pump was broken like they are saying. I am thinking that they totally screwed my parents and they can’t do anything about it…….. This is the worst experience we have ever had and they totally hustled us being we are from out of town...I strongly advise any place other than Village Chrysler Jeep in Royal Oak, MI.
