Good old fashioned high pressure sales.

My wife and I went to Capital CJD in April, 2009 to look at a Dodge Caravan. We found that the selection at the dealership was lackluster. Granted, given the economy and the impending Chrysler bankruptcy this was understandable.
Within a few moments of entering the lot we were aware we were being followed. After just a minute or so we were approached and declined help. After spending a little time on the lot we went back to the salesperson and requested to look at a couple of vehicles.
We actually opted to test drive a Dodge Journey. Two things quickly became clear, the sales person conducting the test drive was more interested in texting and talking on his cellphone than in giving us any information on the vehicle, and he didn't know squat about the car.
I could have excused the latter, but rather than admitting ignorance of a new model's specs, he filled the void with made up answers that were way off the mark.
When we got back to the dealership and tried to leave, he pulled the old "let me get some more information routine. Unfortunately my child needed to use their restroom at this point and my wife took him in the showroom.
After fifteen minutes I had to go in after them, to find my wife being given the "what will it take to get you into a car today" routine from the "manager".
All in all a truly un-evolved dealership experience.
