I bought a 2000 hyundai accent from ron tonkin - the salesman was rude and pushy even tho i told him exactly what i was looking for and even pointed to the car i wanted to buy he kept trying to get me to 'just move up one model' like the cheap gas saving hyundai i picked out wasn't good enough for me, like he was trying to do me a favor... then after i had him convinced that i wanted a hyundai and not an expensive honda, he promptly showed me to a little 2door hatchback model that he swore was the best car for the money in the hyundais that they had. after about two weeks a VERY loud clicking started in the drivers side front corner, the U joint, when i called them to ask about it they said oh, bring it in we'll fix it. then when i got there they wanted me to pay them 500$ upfront before they would fix it - i told them that i just bought the damn thing from them and if they didn't fix it i would just return it as a lemon. so after some arguing back and forth, and after they figured out that just because i'm a girl doesn't mean i don't know jack about cars (my dad is a mechanic and i grew up in a shop) they fixed it.
about 3-4 months later i was involved in an accident and the car was, per my insurance company, a 'total loss' so the insurance company paid off whatever they were willing to pay to ron tonkin auto acceptance and then my GAP coverage contract was to take care of the rest - they would not stop harassing me about the issue afterward, they checked my credit about 150 times over the next 4 years and kept sending me bills for the ammount the GAP was supposed to cover, i still have the original contract, yet they seem 'not have any record of it' and conveniently they don't offer GAP coverage anymore so why should they honor it? well it has been removed from two of my credit reports and it is still on one of them, which i have been trying to have removed now for about 10 years... they are jerks they don't know what they are doing and i hope someone sues the pants off of them.
