Are you ready to get shopping for a used car? Are you excited about your upcoming purchase, or are you worried or stressed about making a wrong decision on the used car you purchase. If that is the case, you’re a bit stressed, then hopefully we can give you a few pointers on how to get the most for your money and put a smile on your face.

There are many questions to ask yourself when buying a used car. The first questions, which may come as a surprise, you need to ask yourself. What kind of vehicle do I want? What am I going to be using this vehicle for? How many people will I be transporting in my new car? Do I drive distances where fuel economy gas mileage is an issue? These questions are all important and will have an impact on your final decision.

Once you have made a decision on what vehicle you want to purchase you need to start your research. Used car websites sites like LotPro.com, along with manufacturer sites, have information that provides answers to your questions when buying a used car.

If you need to finance your used car purchase, discuss this with the dealership sales person or finance manager. They will help you determine, based on your credit rating, the interest rates and finance terms you qualify for as well as the minimum cash down payment, if any, that you will need. You should have already worked your budget to know exactly what you can afford each month. If you have not done so – do it before you buy anything! Not knowing what you can safely afford on a monthly basis can devastate your financial situation later on. You may find that your can afford more than you thought you could, which is fantastic. On the other hand you may discover that you are going to have to settle for something a bit less costly. When budgeting, make sure you add a little extra from auto insurance and fuel costs.

When your ready to buy we recommend buying your next vehicle through a dealership, instead of a private seller. Dealerships must comply with the Used Car Rule, which means they have to display a Buyers Guide on the vehicle. The Buyers Guide will let you know if the vehicle is being sold as is or with a warranty. In addition to this federal regulation, most used car dealers conduct a complete safety inspection on the vehicle and replace worn items that may cause a safety issue like worn tires, brakes, and wipers. In addition to the safety inspection, most of the time all the fliuds are replaced and topped off.

Right article. It is a good idea to buy used car via Ebay Motors or some of the auto auctions. I bought twmo of my last cars via Ebay and very happy about it.

Auto Express,
Thank you for your comment, but I’m afraid you missed the gist of the article. While there are certainly many good vehicles available on ebay, you also take a chance if you are unable to physically inspect it before spending your cold hard cash.
