Press Preview days have arrived and everyone here at LotPro.com is very excited. Although the public show is still five days away, the auto manufacturers have already added more vehicles to the list of concept vehicles from a week ago.
Here is a list of additional concept vehicles that will be seen at the North American International Auto Show:
- Ford Motor Company

Lincoln MKT Concept – Ford calls this a “premium utility vehicle”. The MKS showcases Lincoln’s signature double-wing chrome grille. The 4 passenger vehicle features such amenities as fully reclining rear seats, ambient lighting and flexible storage. Eco-friendly credentials include body panels made from plastic resin that is derived from recycled soft-drink bottles and other plastic waste, a rug woven from banana silk as well as a 3.5 liter V6 EcoBoost engine that gives the MKT the power of a V8 with the economy of a V6.
Ford Explorer America – When the Ford Explorer comes up for its next redesign in 2010, many of the design cues as well as much of the technology of this concept will find its way to the production version. EcoBoost engine technology, unibody construction and other weight-savings amount to a 20% to 30% boost in fuel efficiency. Design elements include Ford’s signature 3 bar grille as well as sliding rear doors. It even comes equipped with a work table that deploys from the rear tailgate.
Ford Verve Concept – The Verve concept is engineered to showcase Ford’s commitment to the small car segment. According to Ford vice president J. Mays, “Verve aims to ‘right’ North American buyers’ earlier small-car experiences by offering a product that changes customers’ views of small cars from ‘cheap’ to chic – and from affordable to desirable.” Hopefully this new commitment by Ford will see the same high quality vehicles in the U.S. that they sell on the other side of the pond.- General Motors

Cadillac CTS Coupe Concept – With design cues from the CTS and sharing the same wheelbase, the coupe version is 2 inches shorter and 2 inches lower than its sedan sibling. The coupe features 2 plus 2 seating, XLR-type hidden door handles and slim-profile outside mirrors. The interior features custom Recaro seats, ambient lighting and carbon fiber trim that also accent a console that stretches from the instrument panel to the rear seats.
Cadillac Provoq – The Provoq is a crossover SUV equipped with the fuel cell variant of the general’s E-Flex fuel system. Its’ all wheel drive system consists of a front co-axial drive system and individual hub motors for each of the rear wheels. This enables the Provoq to accelerate from 0-60 in 8.5 seconds and give it a 300 mile range from a combination of hydrogen fuel (280 miles) and stored electric energy (20 miles). - Saturn Flexstreme Concept – Originally shown at the Frankfurt show with Opel badging, the Flexstreme now sports a Saturn Logo in front. Unchanged from its German debut is the fuel system consisting of lithium ion batteries and a 1.3 liter uber-clean diesel engine. In a nod to greenie nerds everywhere, the underbody storage compartment is home to two Segway scooters.
