Once again, Lexus brings us the beautiful LF-A, only this time its topless…
LF-A Roadster Concept

We needed to insert the word “roadster” in the title, lest you think we just exited some kind of time machine and were back in 2007. Back then, the Lexus LF-A was being introduced at the NAIAS as a coupe.
The latest version has the same 102.6” wheelbase as well as the same under-5 liter V-10 engine. This time around, the top has been chopped, the body has been painted red and a speed-actuated spoiler has been added to the rear deck lid.
In case you’ve forgotten, the transaxle and twin radiators are located in the rear to help weight distribution. In the same vein, the engine, although located in front of the passenger compartment, is also positioned behind the front-axle centerline.
Back in 2007, Lexus VP Bob Carter compared the then-coupe version of the LF-A to an evolving story that was “not yet published.” A year later the manuscript has a new cover and the story contains some revisions, but we’re still waiting for a go-ahead from the editor-in-chief.
