2008 was Chrysler’s turn to be the host company for the World Congress. In addition to their ecoVoyager concept from the 2008 NAIAS, they also brought along their newest toy – the Challenger.
The SAE as an auto show
Here at LotPro.com, we’re treating the SAE World Congress as an auto show, which it definitely is not – at least, that’s not the reason they have the congress every year. It’s really meant as a forum and networking opportunity for automotive engineers from around the world. But since cellulosic biomass and blown-ion cleaning are not nearly as much fun to talk about as cars (to most of us), we plan on giving you an overview of the OEM’s that were there.

Chrysler ecoVoyager Concept

The ecoVoyager makes a return visit to Cobo Hall less than three months after it was unveiled at the NAIAS. This time, we were able to get a closer look – evidently The New Chrysler trusts engineers more than the common proles at the auto show.
2008 Dodge Challenger

In addition to the SRT version unveiled at this year’s Chicago show, Chrysler has added two additional models – the R/T and the SE. All three were on display at SAE, as well as a vintage T/A.
