If this is the answer, what was the question? There seems to be a mantra that is being repeated by a majority of the reviews concerning Kia’s new full-size Borrego SUV – timing is everything. I couldn’t agree with them more.

Kia Motors today announced that 122,230 Kia vehicles were sold globally in July, representing a 24% year-on-year increase for the month of July. Kia also noted that sales in China, Korea, General Markets, Europe and North America posted year-on-year sales growth of 114.1%, 37.5%, 37.3%, 8.4% and 6.2%, respectively, and that cumulative sales reached 839,384, an increase of 16.9% year-on-year.

Kia Motors recently released the first images of the facelifted 2009 Sportage. The updates include subtle changes to the front and rear bumpers as well as an updated instrument panel and dashboard.

2008 marks the 30th for the Meadow Brook Concours d’Elegance. And while the automobile, in various forms, is the center of attention, this annual event has managed to raise more than $6,000,000 to help support Meadow Brook Hall, itself an icon in American automotive history.

Yesterday we discussed the Bill Mitchell designs at the Meadow Brook Concours d’Elegance that primarily delt with the Chevrolet Corvette. In addition to the Corvette, Mitchell was also closely identified with the Buick Riviera.

Kia Motors is certainly on a roll this year. In their latest sales figures, released today, the company reports a year over year sales increase for the fourth month in a row.
