“The Jaguar XF Supercharged will offer consumers a compelling luxury sedan choice with benchmark handling ability and truly memorable performance,” says Mike O’Driscoll, Managing Director, Jaguar Cars. “This new luxury performance XF Supercharged sedan builds on the tremendous momentum Jaguar has achieved by introducing beautiful fast cars such as the XK sports car, the XF and the XKR and XFR models.”

Based on the XF Diesel S model, police departments in the U.K. are currently evaluating the first-ever police-spec XF.

The not-for-the-U.S. vehicle features a 271 horsepower 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged Diesel S engine. The parallel sequential turbocharger system is capable of 0-60 times of under 6 seconds.

According to Geoff Cousins, UK Managing Director for Jaguar Cars, “The Police Officers driving pursuit vehicles demand a very high level of performance and handling, as well as safety and comfort. We hope that with this amount of torque on tap – and a 0-60mph time of 5.9 seconds, we will meet and exceed the exacting standards of any Police Officer driving this car.”

Sure beats the heck out of a Crown Vic.
