In 2011 it was the Jeep Grand Cherokee, last year it was the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon while this year the 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Moab Edition.
We’re talking, of course, about the “Four Wheeler of the Year” award from Four Wheeler magazine.
Oh and, by the by, less than three years ago the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon was also named the Best 4×4 vehicle of the 2000-2009 decade by Four Wheeler magazine.

Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited Moab
Named after the popular off-road destination – Moab, Utah – the Wrangler Moab is based on the Wrangler Sahara model.
Upgrades over more plebian Saharas include 17-inch Rubicon gloss black painted alloy wheels wrapped in 245/75R17 Goodyear Silent Armor off-road tires and standard “Trak-Lok” anti-spin rear differential with (an electronic rear locking differential is optional). When equipped with a manual transmission and a 3.73 rear axle ratio, Wrangler Moab has a crawl ratio of 45:1.
Wrangler Moab -specific exterior features include a Mopar “power dome” hood, high-zoot rock rails, black fuel filler door and tail lamp guards as well matching premium black front and rear off-road bumpers. Other niceties include a premium soft top, black wheel arches, black Jeep grille badge (matte finish) and the requisite “Moab” decals on the hood. A body-color three-piece hard top is optional.
Interior mods include the choice of black or saddle leather seats with black stitching, “Moab” embossed IP grab handle, Mopar slush mats and “Iron Gray” vent ring, grab handle and steering wheel spoke trim.
The Jeep Wrangler Moab is available as a two-door Wrangler or four-door Wrangler Unlimited model available in Crush, Dozer, Rock Lobster, Gecko, Black and Bright White.
