Earlier this week Nissan released new car pricing for the 2014 Versa sedan. Citing the model as “America’s best-selling entry sedan”, the Japanese manufacture was quick to point out that the model, currently in the third year of its second generation, will be priced the same as the outgoing 2013 model.

Per the press release:

Nissan is getting the jump on the 2014 model year with today’s introduction of the 2014 Nissan Versa Sedan. Pricing for the new model year is unchanged from 2013 – including offering the lowest starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (M.S.R.P.) in America for the third consecutive year with a starting price of just $11,990 for the 2014 Nissan Versa Sedan S. The 2014 Versa Sedan is available now at Nissan dealers nationwide.

As in previous years, the 2014 Versa Sedan provides exceptional value, along with a range of popular features including a standard 1.6-liter DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder engine with dual injector system and twin Continuously Variable Timing Control (CVTC), and available air conditioning, 6-way adjustable driver’s seat, and AM/FM/CD/Aux-in audio system. All 2014 Versa Sedan models equipped with the Xtronic CVT® transmission achieve fuel economy of 40 miles per gallon highway, 31 mpg city and 35 mpg combined. The Versa S is rated at 27/36/30 mpg city/highway/combined with 5-speed manual transmission and 26/35/30 mpg city/highway/combined with the 4-speed automatic transmission.
