2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Breaks Cover

Slotting between a somewhat smaller Outlander Sport and the larger Outlander (all three share the same 105.1-inch wheelbase), the Eclipse Cross is expected to battle in the hot compact SUV segment against the likes of the Honda HR-V, Jeep Compass, Subaru Crosstrek, and Mazda CX-3. After looking over the spec sheet, it looks as if Mitsu's latest crossover should fare rather well.

Chevy takes the Redline

The General resurrected the Redline name (this time making it a single word) for the 2015 SEMA Show. Buoyed by the response from the Las Vegas crowd, the manufacturer has decided that, once again, buyers should be offered a bevy of Redline-modified models (although, in this case, the changes are purely cosmetic).

Hyundai Unveils 2018 Accent

In a first for the Canadian International Auto Show, an all-new car model made its world premiere there during the show's annual media day. The 2018 Hyundai Accent, the best-selling model in its segment in Canada, has been redesigned to bring its styling more in line with the brand's other sedans. It's also 0.6 inches longer and 1.14 inches wider than the outgoing model.

Canadian Utility and Car of the Year Award Winners Announced

In what has become a tradition at the show, media day marks the handing out of the Canadian Car of the Year Awards. Judged by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC), the awards program is now in its 32nd year and currently consists of the overall Canadian Car of the Year and Canadian Utility of the Year awards as well as, this year, 10 additional categories of Best New winners.
