Chevrolet to offer two new design packages for the 2015 Corvette Stingray

Chevrolet has announced that it will offer Corvette customers two new design packages for the 2015 model: the Atlantic luxury convertible and the pacific performance coupe. Both packages will be available when the 2015 Corvette Stingray lineup goes on sale later this year.
"One of the design goals for the Corvette Stingray was to provide customers with the flexibility to tailor the car to their personality," said Kirk Bennion, Corvette exterior design manager. "The Atlantic and Pacific Design Packages were originally designed to showcase how the Stingray could be configured as a luxury sport GT car or as a high-performance motorsport car."
Both models were shown in concept form at last November's SEMA Show in Las Vegas and, according to Chevrolet, a "strong response" from show goers helped influence the decision to give both the go for production.
2015 Corvette Stingray Atlantic Convertible
In order to specify the "Luxury GT-focused" Atlantic Package, convertible buyers will first have to choose the Z51 model with either the 2LT or 3LT trim package (in any color offered), while checking off the additional Atlantic package will offer the following additions:
• Front Z06-style splitter
• Shark Gray exterior vents, hood "stinger" graphic and tonneau inserts
• Chrome Torque wheels with Stingray center caps
• Stingray underhood liner and floor mats
• Custom splash guards, rear license plate frame and logo valve stem caps
• Custom luggage
2015 Corvette Stingray Pacific Coupe
Like the Atlantic, buyers opting for the "track-focused" Pacific Coupe will first have to check off the Z51 box in either 2LT or 3LT trim, while the additional Pacific package offers additional content, including:
• Color choices of Torch Red, Black, Arctic White, Blade Silver and new-for-2015 Shark Gray
• Satin black full-length racing stripes
• Satin black Z51 wheels with red stripe and Stingray center caps
• "CFZ" carbon fiber ground effects package and visible carbon fiber roof panel
• Carbon Flash rear spoiler, outside mirrors and exterior badges
• Red brake calipers
• Competition Sport Seats in red or black
• Carbon fiber interior trim, Stingray sill plates and Stingray floor mats
• Custom splash guards and rear license plate frame
• Indoor car cover (gray)
Both models come standard with a seven-speed manual, while, among other options, an eight-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission as well as Corvette's new Performance Data Recorder, is available.
