NHTSA CRASH TEST RESULTS
Frontal crash ratings Driver: No Test Passenger: No Test
Side crash ratings Driver: No Test Rear Passenger: No Test
Results based on a 35 MPH frontal crash and 38.5 MPH side crash. Results are reported in a range of one to five stars, with five stars indicating the best crash protection for vehicles within the same weight class. This test used driver and passenger belts and airbags.
NHTSA ROLLOVER RESISTANCE RATING * * *
The Rollover Resistance Rating is an estimate of your risk of rolling over if you have a single vehicle crash. It does not predict the likelihood of that crash. The Rollover Resistance Rating essentially measures vehicle characteristics of center of gravity and track width to determine how "top-heavy" a vehicle is. The more "top-heavy" the vehicle, the more likely it is to roll over. The lowest rated vehicles (1-star) are at least four times more likely to roll over than the highest rated vehicles (5-stars).

NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID 04V046
Number Of Units Affected 581,394
Summary The windshield wipers on these sport utility vehicles may fail to turn on, unexpectedly stop working, fail to turn off/on by themselves (moisture sensitive wiper system), or the washer pump may operate continuously because water can enter the wiper module and either cause a short circuit or corrosion of components within the module. Driver visibility could be reduced, which could result in a crash.
Remedy Dealers will cover the windshield wiper module vent hole with a patch. Also, the wiper motor, circuit board, and electrical connector will be inspected for signs of water intrusion and/or corrosion and be replaced as required. The manufacturer has reported that owner notification is expected to begin during the third quarter of 2004. Owners may contact Chevrolet at 1-800-630-2438; GMC at 1-866-996-9463; or Oldsmobile at 1-800-630-6537.
