The 2007 Ford Mustang available as a 2+2 coupe or convertible is a 2-door, 4-passenger vehicle. Available in 8 trims total. The Ford Mustang Premium Coupe has a 4.0L, V6, 210hp engine and 16" alloy wheels. It comes with a 6-disc CD player and 8 speakers. The Ford Mustang GT Deluxe Coupe comes with a 4.6L, V8, 300hp engine and 17" alloy wheels. It has a single CD player and 4 speakers. Finally the Ford Mustang Premium Coupe comes with a 4.6L, V8, 300hp engine and 17" alloy wheels. It carries a 6-disc CD player with changer, 8 speakers and MP3 audio input. A five speed manual transmission is standard but a five speed automatic transmission is optional.

| Summary | Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2005-2014 Mustang, 2004-2011 Ranger, 2009-2011 Mercury Milan, 2006 Ford GT, 2008-2012 Fusion, 2007-2010 Edge and Lincoln MKX, and 2009-2010 Lincoln MKZ vehicles. These vehicles may be equipped with a driver or passenger frontal air bag inflator used as a replacement service part, that may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, temperature and temperature cycling. |
| Consequence | In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the frontal air bag, an inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death. |
| Remedy | Ford will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the driver and passenger air bag module, and replace either the module or the inflator, if necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin March 8, 2021. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 21S05. |

Frontal crash ratings: Driver: Passenger: Side crash ratings: Driver: Rear Passenger: No TestResults based on a 35 MPH frontal crash and 38.5 MPH side crash. Results are reported in a range of one to five stars, with five stars indicating the best crash protection for vehicles within the same weight class. This test used driver and passenger belts and airbags. NHTSA ROLLOVER RESISTANCE RATING: The Rollover Resistance Rating is an estimate of your risk of rolling over if you have a single vehicle crash. It does not predict the likelihood of that crash. The Rollover Resistance Rating utilizes a "fishhook" maneuver which is a series of abrupt turns at varying speeds to see how "top-heavy" a vehicle is. The more "top-heavy" the vehicle, the more likely it is to roll over. The lowest rated vehicles (1-star) are at least four times more likely to roll over than the highest rated vehicles (5-stars). |
