GMC Acadia Reviews - 2007

The 2007 GMC Acadia will ride more like a car than a truck, with more lively dynamics. The suspension, independent at all four corners means each wheel and tire will respond to the road self-regulating of the other three. This can provide both a smoother ride and superior control for the drive. The 2007 GMC Acadia is built with a car-like platform and has the body and frame incorporated into a single structure.

The Arcadia features a spacious interior with seating for up to eight occupants or a large amount of luggage or other gear. For all occupants in the GMC Acadia, the new structure means a large interior that is more user-friendly. The new GMC 2007 Arcadia will have all-wheel drive and towing capacity to pull anything less than 4500 pounds.

For third row passengers it will be much easier to enter because the second-row seats have a new feature called Smart Slide which allows them to fold and slide against the back of the front seats, leaving plenty of room for reaching the third row.

The 2007 GMC Acadia also has audio controls provided in the rear of the vehicle. There are many different storage compartments and the driver and front seat passenger will enjoy a beautiful dash and gauge display.

The GMC 2007 Acadia has six standard airbags which include front and side bags and side curtain airbags that span all three rows. Electronic stability control with anti-rollover technology is standard equipment on the GMC 2007 Acadia.

The GMC Acadia will have the longest wheelbase and widest track in the category. With those designs it will add up to a smooth ride and better control. The Acadia will be powered by a 267-horsepower, 3.6-liter V6 connected to a six-speed auto transmission. The GMC Acadia will get around 17mpg in the city and 25mpg on the highway.

The all-new GMC Acadia is expected to be out in early 2007. Though to be introduced as a 2007 model, it will be viewed as a 2008. It is estimated to be priced between $30,000 and the top models to be priced around $40,000.

The more "top-heavy" the vehicle, the more likely it is to roll over. The lowest rated vehicles (1-star) are at least four times more likely to roll over than the highest rated vehicles (5-stars).
