The Jeep Wrangler, a 2-door, 4-passenger, small SUV with a convertible top, is available in 3 trims. These trims include the Jeep Wrangler X, Jeep Wrangler Sahara and the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. All Jeep Wrangler's come with a standard 3.8 liter, V6, 202 horsepower engine and a standard 6-speen manual transmission. The option of a 4-wheel automatic transmission is available.

The Jeep Wrangler X, Sahara, and Rubicon have standard features that consist of a front power outlet, driver/passenger airbags with passenger cutoff switch, side guard door beams, 4-wheel ABS, transfer case, self-locking hubs, traction control, stability control, full size spare tire with exterior rear tire carrier, vehicle anti-theft device, removable convertible top, interval wipers, tinted glass, skid plate, manual air-conditioning, oil gauge, battery gauge, tilt steering, power steering, stabilizer bar, front bucker seats, and halogen headlights. The Jeep Wrangler Saraha and Rubicon have a compass, outside temperature gauge, cruise control, leather steering wheel, fog lights, and mounted steering wheel controls.

The premium package adds an optional three-piece hard top, sunroof equipped soft top, power windows, keyless entry, a 6-disc Infinity stereo system, satellite radio and MP3 player. The Jeep Wrangler Saraha is considered to be the "luxury" Wrangler. It offers an optional package including a navigational system.

The Rollover Resistance Rating utilizes a "fishhook" maneuver which is a series of abrupt turns at varying speeds to see how "top-heavy" a vehicle is. The more "top-heavy" the vehicle, the more likely it is to roll over. The lowest rated vehicles (1-star) are at least four times more likely to roll over than the highest rated vehicles (5-stars).

Summary	CHRYSLER IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2007 THROUGH 2008 JEEP WRANGLER MANUFACTURE BETWEEN JUNE 2006 THROUGH JULY 2008 PASSENGER VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THESE VEHICLES WERE NOT EQUIPPED WITH A TRANSMISSION FLUID TEMPERATURE WARNING SYSTEM.
Consequence	FLUID COULD BOIL OVER AND MAY COME INTO CONTACT WITH A HOT ENGINE OR EXHAUST COMPONENT AND CAUSE A FIRE.
Remedy	DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND INSTALL A "HOTOIL" MESSAGE IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND A CHIME INDICATING AN ELEVATED TRANSMISSION FLUID CONDITION. THE RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING DECEMBER 2009. OWNERS MAY CONTACT CHRYSLER AT 1-800-835-1403.
