The 2007 Toyota Matrix is a carryover wagon from 2006. The 2007 Toyota Matrix is a four-door, five-passenger wagon that comes in two trims only: the 4X2 and the XR 4X2. The Matrix is a base-level car that has a 1.8-liter, I4, 126-hp engine with a 5-speed manual transmission with an optional 4-speed automatic transmission. The 2007 Toyota Matrix is very economical when it comes to gas mileage. The Matrix averages 30mpg in the city and 36mpg on the highway.
The 2007 Toyota Matrix has standard features that meet the simple necessities but does have many upgrade options available. Standard are: driver/passenger airbags, emergency fuel shut-off, remote tailgate and fuel door release, steel wheels, tire detail, compact spare tire, stereo system with CD player (CD changer optional on the XR), anti-theft devices, interval wipers, tinted glass, rear defroster, some power accessories, rear spoiler, front and rear air dams, air conditioning, air filtration system, outside temperature gauge, tilt steering column, stabilizer bar, front bucket seats, front folding seat, halogen headlights, and daytime running lights. Options that can be added are: front side airbag, ABS, stability control, alloy wheels, sunroof and sunshade and fog lights (XR only), rear HVAC, and cruise control.
The Toyota Matrix XR comes standard with keyless entry, multi-functional remote, remote controls, rear wiper, power adjustable exterior mirrors, and a leather steering wheel.
