The 2008 G5 is available in two trims; the Coupe and the GT Coupe. The 2008 Pontiac G5 is a 2-door, 5-passenger coupe. The Pontiac G5 Coupe is equipped with a customary 2.2-liter, I4, 148-hp engine and the GT Coupe has a customary 2.4-liter, I4, 173-hp engine. A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims but a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is an optional.
