The BMW X5 Series xDrive30i has a standard 3.0 liter, I6, 260hp engine while the xDrive48i has a 4.8 liter, V8, 350hp engine. A 6-speed automatic transmission is customary on both trims. The BMW X5 Series averages 15mpg in the city and 20mpg on the highway and has a 50,000mi/48 month basic warranty.

Summary BMW IS RECALLING MY 2009 X5 AND X6 VEHICLES. THE REAR BRAKE DISCS MAY NOT HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURED ACCORDING TO SPECIFICATIONS. AS A RESULT, A REDUCTION IN BRAKING PERFORMANCE AT THE AFFECTED REAR WHEEL COULD OCCUR.
Consequence IN AN EXTREME CASE, THE AFFECTED REAR BRAKE DISC COULD BREAK RESULTING IN A LOSS OF BRAKING AT THAT WHEEL INCREASING STOPPING DISTANCES AND THE RISK OF A CRASH.
