The 2009 Saturn Vue is refreshed for 2008. The Saturn Vue is a 4-door, 5-passenger SUV that is offered in 7 models starting at the FWD 4-Cylinder XE and extending to the AWD V6 Red Line. The Saturn Vue FWD 4-Cylinder XE has a routine 2.4 liter, I4, 169hp engine and a 4-speed automatic transmission while the AWD V6 Red Line has a 3.6 liter, V6, 257hp engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Saturn Vue averages 18 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. A 36,000 mile/36 month is the basic warranty for the Saturn Vue.

Summary GM IS RECALLING 42,408 MY 2008-2009 SATURN VUE VEHICLES. SOME OF THESE VEHICLES HAVE A CONDITION IN WHICH THE NUT SECURING THE POWER STEERING LINE TO THE POWER STEERING PUMP MAY LOOSEN. IF THIS WERE TO OCCUR, THERE MAY BE A POWER STEERING FLUID LEAK.
Consequence THE FLUID COULD CONTACT HOT EXHAUST COMPONENTS RESULTING IN A POSSIBLE ENGINE COMPARTMENT FIRE.
Remedy DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE NUT SECURING THE POWER STEERING LINE TO THE POWER STEERING PUMP. IF THERE ARE NO SIGNS OF A FLUID LEAK, DEALERS WILL TIGHTEN THE NUT. IF A FLUID LEAK IS PRESENT, DEALER WILL TIGHTEN THE NUT AND CHECK THE FLUID LEVEL. THE RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN ON OR ABOUT SEPTEMBER 26, 2008.
