The 2009 Saturn Vue is refreshed for 2008. The Saturn Vue is a 4-door, 5-passenger SUV that is offered in 7 models starting at the FWD 4-Cylinder XE and extending to the AWD V6 Red Line. The Saturn Vue FWD 4-Cylinder XE has a routine 2.4 liter, I4, 169hp engine and a 4-speed automatic transmission while the AWD V6 Red Line has a 3.6 liter, V6, 257hp engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Saturn Vue averages 18 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. A 36,000 mile/36 month is the basic warranty for the Saturn Vue.

The Saturn Vue AWD V6 Red Line comes with the following features: power accessories, OnStar® vehicle tracking, child safety door locks, ABS brakes, traction/stability control, power outlets, OnStar® hands free phone, CD player, daytime running lights, fog light, automatic headlights, automatic climate control, rear HVAC ducts, trip computer, steering wheel mounted controls, temperature gauge, tire pressure monitor, cruise control, delayed courtesy lighting, keyless entry, remote controls, GPS crash sensing signal, driver/passenger reclining/heated/leather seats, tilt steering column, lockable storage, rear defroster, power/heated exterior mirrors, illuminated vanity mirrors and tinted glass. *All above mentioned features may not be standard on other models.

Summary GM IS RECALLING 42,408 MY 2008-2009 SATURN VUE VEHICLES. SOME OF THESE VEHICLES HAVE A CONDITION IN WHICH THE NUT SECURING THE POWER STEERING LINE TO THE POWER STEERING PUMP MAY LOOSEN. IF THIS WERE TO OCCUR, THERE MAY BE A POWER STEERING FLUID LEAK.
Consequence THE FLUID COULD CONTACT HOT EXHAUST COMPONENTS RESULTING IN A POSSIBLE ENGINE COMPARTMENT FIRE.
Remedy DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE NUT SECURING THE POWER STEERING LINE TO THE POWER STEERING PUMP. IF THERE ARE NO SIGNS OF A FLUID LEAK, DEALERS WILL TIGHTEN THE NUT. IF A FLUID LEAK IS PRESENT, DEALER WILL TIGHTEN THE NUT AND CHECK THE FLUID LEVEL. THE RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN ON OR ABOUT SEPTEMBER 26, 2008. The Rollover Resistance Rating is an estimate of your risk of rolling over if you have a single vehicle crash. It does not predict the likelihood of that crash. The Rollover Resistance Rating utilizes a "fishhook" maneuver which is a series of abrupt turns at varying speeds to see how "top-heavy" a vehicle is. The more "top-heavy" the vehicle, the more likely it is to roll over. The lowest rated vehicles (1-star) are at least four times more likely to roll over than the highest rated vehicles (5-stars).
