The 2015 Mercedes-Benz G-Class is a luxury 4-door, 5-passenger new SUV that has been carried over from 2014. The 2015 Mercedes-Benz G-Class is available in two models, the G550, and the G63 AMG. All 2015 Mercedes-Benz G-Class models have a 5.5 liter, V8, 382 hp engine, and a 7-speed shiftable automatic transmission. The 2015 Mercedes-Benz G-Class averages 12 MPG city and over 10 MPG highway. The 2015 Mercedes-Benz G-Class carries a 48 month/50,000 mile basic warranty.

The 2015 Mercedes-Benz G-Class models come with the following standard features - programmable locks, valet lockout, anti-theft, ABS brakes, AWD, traction control and stability control, child safety door locks, CD changer, iPod® jack, MP3 player, radio display, USB port, Bluetooth® wireless access, surround sound, DVD player, voice navigation system, automatic headlights, daytime running lights, fog lights, front/rear air dam, rear spoiler, dual automatic climate controls, air filter, rear controls, intelligent cruise, temperature gauge, steering wheel mounted controls, trip computer with fuel consumption, driver memory adjustments, genuine wood trim, Keyless Access Card Key, programmable remote fob, remote fuel door, universal garage door, electronic parking aid w/camera, trunk anti-trap, memory steering column, sunroof, vehicle speed sensing wipers, tinted glass, dual heated/cooled/memory/power/lumbar/leather seats, power/heated/signaling/memory mirrors, and a rear window power shade. *Not all features are standard on all models.

Some of the optional upgrades for the 2015 Mercedes-Benz models include a rear seat entertainment system, a DINAMICA headliner, and a heated steering wheel.

Summary Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC.(MBUSA) is recalling certain 2013-2016 G550 and G63 AMG vehicles and 2016 G65 AMG vehicles. The steering coupling may have been insufficiently tightened, resulting in the steering connection wearing.
Consequence The steering coupling wear may cause a loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy MBUSA will notify owners, and dealers will replace the steering coupling, free of charge. The remedy is currently unavailable. Interim notifications informing owners of the safety risk were mailed May 27, 2017. Owners will receive a second notice when remedy parts become available. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372.
