It's another month and that means its time to review another incentive event. Next up is Chevrolet's recently advertised "Count on Chevy Event" which focuses on their cars that get over 30 MPG. So let's look at what incentives and rebates Chevrolet has for us now in June of 2011.
Chevy has nine cars they hope you'll count on, though it's more like six. The 2011 Cruze, Equinox, Volt, Malibu, Aveo, and HHR are all showcased. With the 2011 Chevy Cruze-Eco, Aveo5 door, and HHR Panel van rounding out the extra three cars that get over 30 MPG.
Chevy's pitch is that you "Change your vehicle. Not your lifestyle." Which might not be too hard to do if that's your used 2006 Malibu for sale in the paper, but might be more difficult if you are looking to buy a 2011 Cruze.
The Count on Chevy Event focuses more on lease special offers and as an ad spot for their cars 30 plus MPG than as any major incentive to stay away from the used car dealerships looking at those used 2006 Malibu for sale.
There is one purchase offer, on the 2011 Malibu, but only for zero percent financing. And nothing is listed for the 2011 or 2012 Chevy Volt except "see your dealership for details". So what's the deal? Guess you'll have to check the Chevrolet car dealerships in Lancaster PA or whoever else is nearby to find out.
The lease special offers aren't too bad actually, and might be a good alternative to people looking at cars under 10000. If you can keep your miles low and are driving a fuel efficient car like these then a lease option might certainly be more attractive than a visit to the used car dealerships.
But if you're looking to buy a car like the 2012 Chevy Volt, these 2011 Chevrolet incentives and rebates for June seem to say wait for the real event, especially if your someone who doesn't easily fit into a limited lease restriction.
I still count on Chevy, in fact I'd recommend anyone looking at cars under $10,000 look at a used Chevrolet from a car dealerships in Lancaster PA to get the most bang for their buck. But unless you lease, this is one event that isn't a deal for everyone.
