Three days of classic cars

Earlier today, the seminal automobile experience now entering its fifth year as the Concours d'Elegance of America at St. John's (for the first thirty-two the event was known as The Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance) officially kicked off this year's festivities.

As in the past, the event is "dedicated to the Genius of the Automobile" and this year features an eclectic field of over 300 vehicles from 31 states. Highlights include a legendary 1957 Maserati 250S – one of only four examples built, it may be the only one originally equipped with a 2.5-liter engine and, according to RM-Sothebys, "It is widely regarded as the best example in existence."

"The 37th edition of the Concours of America promises to be one of our best ever," said Larry Moss, Chairman of the Concours d'Elegance of America at St. John's. "We've expanded our program over three days in order to attract a wider audience of automotive enthusiasts and first-time visitors. I encourage people who have never attended a concours event to make it a point to check us out."
