Hyundai Veloster Value Edition

Korean automaker Hyundai is big on value editions – the practice of bundling options together and offering the package at a savings over their individual prices if ordered separately. It all started with the 2016 Elantra Value Edition that was rolled out in May of 2015. That was followed by the 2017 Accent Value Edition as well as the 2017 Elantra Value Edition, both announced in December of 2016.

Noticeably absent from the list, however, was Hyundai's compact kammback coupe, the Veloster. But that was then, and this is now.

Mike Evanoff, Product Planning Manager, stated that "The Value Edition epitomizes our desire to provide consumers more for less. These are amongst the most sought after options in a car, in one convenient value savings package."

Manufacturer suggested retail pricing for the Value Edition model, not including destination, is $21,350, which represents a $2,150 premium over the base Veloster with a 6-speed DCT.

According to Hyundai, the package price represents a $950 savings for buyers. That's because, if priced separately, the additional equipment in the Value Edition package has a retail value of $3,000.

There's no word yet from Hyundai on when the 2017 Veloster Value Edition will reach Hyundai dealers.
