Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) did not formally debut any vehicles at this year's North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), but they still had all of their latest models on display, including these five must-see vehicles.
2017 Chrysler Pacifica

2017 Chrysler Pacifica Wins North American Utility Vehicle of the Year

The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica debuted at last year's Detroit auto show and won a prestigious award at this year's. The minivan was named the 2017 North American Utility of the Year at the beginning of the show.

Although this is the 24th year of the North American Car and Truck of the Year awards, the "Utility Vehicle" category was new for 2017 because SUVs and crossovers have become so popular in recent years.

The 2017 Pacifica's win marks just the second time a minivan has taken home the award. Fittingly, the first was FCA's minivan back in 1996.

Both the Pacifica and the Pacifica Hybrid (above), the first plug-in hybrid electric minivan available, are on display at FCA's booth at NAIAS. It boasts 37 minivan "firsts" and tons of technology and functionality.

The 2017 Pacifica Hybrid is said to achieve 84 miles per gallon equivalent (MPGe) in electric-only mode.

Chrysler is also showing off their Portal Concept at NAIAS, which was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas a few weeks back. The all-electric, semi-autonomous Portal is funky and minivan-like in size and shape.

The vehicle houses a 100-kWh lithium-ion battery pack and is estimated to have a range of more than 250 miles on a full charge. It can also be self-driving under certain highway conditions.

The Chrysler Portal concept has four sliding doors — both the front and rear doors slide away from each other to form a nearly five-foot-wide entry. Inside, the car features track-mounted seats that can be moved around in several different ways for different cabin configurations.

There's also a touchscreen dashboard and a long LED screen on top of it. Other interior features include an intercom for conversations and a facial recognition feature where the vehicle can remember a particular driver's preferred settings.
Ram 1500 Rebel Black

Ram 1500 Rebel Black Debut

Ram showed off a special edition of the Ram 1500 Rebel for the first time in Detroit: the Rebel Black. If you can't tell by its name, this will be the blacked-out edition of Ram's off-roader.

The Ram 1500 Rebel Black will be offered with black wheels on the 33-inch tires, black brush guards and an all-black interior. The interior will feature black ornaments on the doors, center console, instrument panel, and more.

The special edition trim is only available in crew cab, but there are two engine offerings. Both the 305-horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and the 395-horse 5.7-liter HEMI V8 are paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Rebel Black package will be available in March and pricing starts at $46,910 including destination.

The 2017 Dodge Challenger GT

Front and center at FCA's booth is the 2017 Dodge Challenger GT, the world's first and only two-door American muscle car with all-wheel drive. It uses the same AWD system found in the Dodge Charger.

In addition to offering more all-weather traction, the coupe also features 19-inch aluminum wheels, a deck-lid rear spoiler, a rear backup camera, and Sport mode for even more performance-oriented driving dynamics.

The 2017 Dodge Challenger GT comes standard with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that produces 305 horsepower and 268 pound-feet of torque. It is the only engine offered on the Challenger GT and will be mated to a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic.

The 2017 Challenger GT will reach Dodge dealerships nationwide sometime in the first quarter of 2017, and it will have a starting MSRP of $34,490 including destination.
2017 Jeep Compass

The 2017 Jeep Compass

You can also get your first look at the all-new 2017 Jeep Compass, which formally debuted at the Los Angeles International Auto Show in November. The second-generation SUV carries traditional Jeep design cues while also offering plenty of on- and off-road capability.

The 2017 Compass offers two 4x4 systems: Jeep Active Drive and Jeep Active Drive Low. Both include the Jeep Selec-Terrain system that has five driving modes.

North American models of the 2017 Compass will be powered by a 180-horsepower, 2.4-liter Tigershark I-4 engine. You can pair it with a choice of three transmissions: the standard six-speed manual, a class-exclusive nine-speed automatic for 4x4 models, or an Aisin six-speed automatic for 4x2 models.

The 2017 Jeep Compass is available in four trims. There's the base Sport, a mid-level Latitude, an upscale Limited, and the off-road-oriented Trailhawk. All will be available with either front- or four-wheel drive except the Trailhawk, which is exclusively 4WD.
