I had a chance to evaluate a top-of-the-line 2012 Civic EX back in August of last year and, quite frankly, found it to be a major disappointment. Although fit and finish was generally impressive, the materials used in the interior were hard and plasticky, the dashboard looked clunky and the rear suspension had a penchant to move laterally when it encountered washboard road surfaces. Fortunately, as the saying goes: that was then and this is now.

But none of these small changes on paper can prepare you for how much the stylists have managed to completely transform the Avalon. The new look is both sleek and sophisticated and, unlike its predecessor, it won't get lost in a parking lot full of cookie cutter midsize sedans.

In preparing the sixth iteration of the ES, Toyota didn't stray far from its winning formula and, in fact, has pushed the entry into luxury even further from its Camry-esque roots.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the brand Toyota again chose New York to introduce a limited edition version of all five vehicles in the Scion lineup, calling them the Scion 10 Series.

The Scion 10 Series includes special enhancements to the new 2014 tC and the 2014 iQ as well as to the 2013 models of the xD, xB and FR-S in celebration of the brand's 10th anniversary.

I understand that there are still compromises that must be made for extreme fuel efficiency, but in this instance the level of compromise is hardly justified by the slender gains in fuel economy.
