For Camaro aficionados chomping at the bit, it appears as if their long wait is coming to a close as earlier today Chevrolet announced that the long-awaited 2014 Camaro Z/28 will be arriving in dealer showrooms this spring.

The price of admission for early adopters will undoubtedly be more than the suggested retail price of $75,000, a figure that includes the model's $995 destination charge, but excludes tax, title, license and dealer fees. Those dealer fees, in addition to the requisite one for document preparation, could also include a hefty one for "adjusted market value", a euphemism for jacking up the price on scarce and highly-sought-after models.

Be that as it may, the new Camaro Z/28 will be easy to order. It will be available with a choice of five exterior colors – red, black, silver, gray and white (officially Red Hot, Black, Silver Ice Metallic, Ashen Gray Metallic and Summit White). In keeping with the model's performance mission, there will be but one option check box – a package that adds air conditioning and a total of six audio speakers (the standard package includes a single speaker).
