Chryslers Italian brand announces the Fiat SEMA Design Challenge

Passing on the pickups

Here at LotPro, it’s getting a bit monotonous writing about the Fiat brand, as this is the second article this week. But the fact is, the only other choice at this point would be a treatise on pickups (the increase in the amount of news coming, not coincidentally, about the time the Texas State Fair opens every year) and we’re really not up to that right now.

Getting social

The latest news to come out of Auburn Hills is that Chrysler division Fiat has gotten together with the company’s Mopar parts division to launch what it calls the “FIAT SEMA Design Challenge” and is subtitled “a social media contest allowing fans to create a custom Fiat 500 vehicle wrap.”

In order to do this, participants first need to visit the FIAT Facebook page. Once there, you then must “Like” it before you are able to download the design templates (there are two – one is a side view and the other a top view of the Cinquecento). Once finished with the design, you upload it to the site. Remember, however, that you only have until Wednesday, October 5th to do that.

Fiat will then judge the submissions and load the top 10 to the Facebook where fans will then be able to vote for their favorite designs. The winners will be announced on Wednesday, October 19th and the top three will be converted into wraps and wrapped live within the Mopar Alley at this year’s SEMA show.

There are two more points that should be made: participants must be 18 years of age or older in order to enter and contestants can enter more than once, although each entry must be uploaded individually.
