FCA has released fuel economy, trim level and pricing information for the all-new 2017 124 Spider two-seat roadster.

Having made its world debut five months ago at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, FCA's Fiat brand earlier today released pricing and trim level information as well as EPA-estimated fuel economy numbers for the all-new 2017 124 Spider.

The 2017 Fiat 124 Spider will be offered in three trim levels: the entry-level Classica, luxury-themed Lusso and performance-oriented Abarth. In addition, for its launch, a limited number of vehicles will be offered in Prima Edizione Lusso trim.

Even the base Classica trim comes with a fair level of standard equipment including the usual power features (windows, locks, mirrors) plus a dual-tip exhaust, black roll bar finish, and body-color header, side sills and door handles. Classica models also come standard with 16-inch alloy wheels, Nero (black) premium cloth seats, halogen headlamps and LED tail lamps. Inside, soft-touch materials on the instrument panel are highlighted with light silver accents.

The Classica is available in six colors: Rosso Passione (red clear coat), Bianco Gelato (white clear coat), Nero Cinema (jet black metallic), Grigio Argento (gray metallic), Grigio Moda (dark gray metallic) and Bronzo Magnetico (bronze metallic).

The Lusso ("Luxury") trim adds 17-inch alloy wheels, silver-painted A-pillar header and roll-bar cover and dual-tip chrome exhaust. The interior features heated leather seats in Nero (black) or Saddle and a leatherette-wrapped cluster brow. The lower instrument panel also is wrapped in leatherette, with Piano Black accents.

The Lusso model is available in seven colors: Rosso Passione (red clear coat), Bianco Gelato (white clear coat), Nero Cinema (jet black metallic), Grigio Argento (gray metallic), Grigio Moda (dark gray metallic), Bronzo Magnetico (bronze metallic) and Bianca Perla (crystal white pearl tri-coat).

Adding to that menu, the Abarth trim comes standard with front and rear Bilstein sport suspension, mechanical limited-slip differential, front strut tower bar, Sport Mode selector and sport-tuned chrome quad-tip exhaust with the world-renowned Abarth sound. Its also features unique front and rear fascias, 17-inch Gun Metal alloy wheels, Gun Metal exterior accents.

Options include a hand-painted hood stripe, a Brembo braking system and Recaro seats.

The Abarth model is available in five colors: Bianco Gelato (white clear coat), Rosso Passione (red clear coat), Nero Cinema (jet black metallic), Grigio Argento (gray metallic) and tri-coat Bianco Perla (crystal white pearl).

The first 124 vehicles will be offered as a limited-edition Prima Edizione Lusso. Each will be individually numbered with a commemorative badge and available in exclusive Azzurro Italia (Blue) exterior paint with premium leather seats in Saddle. Those who purchase one also will receive a number of limited-edition tchotchkes, including a matching blue leather bag, journal with pen, and a poster with an original design illustration featuring vehicle dimensions.

All three trim levels will offer the same engine, a 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo four-cylinder engine. In Classica and Lusso models it's rated at 160 horsepower while delivering a maximum 184 lb.-ft. of torque. Under the hood of the Abarth, it will develop 165 horsepower while generating the same 184 lb.-ft. of torque.

It's certified at an EPA-estimated 26 mpg city/35 mpg highway when equipped with the 6-speed manual transmission and an EPA-estimated 25 mpg city/36 mpg highway when equipped with the 6-speed automatic.

Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Prices (MSRP) for each model is as follows:

124 Spider Classica: $25,990 (6-speed manual), $27,340 (6-speed automatic)

124 Spider Lusso: $28,490 (6-speed manual), $29,840 (6-speed automatic)

124 Spider Abarth: $29,190 (6-speed manual), $30,540 (6-speed automatic)

124 Spider Prima Edizione Lusso: $35,995 (6-speed automatic)

According to Fiat, the 124 Spider will begin arriving at FIAT studios in summer 2016.
