Ford to bring a number of customized models to this years SEMA show in Vegas

SEMA

It stands for Specialty Equipment Market Association and it has become one of the largest yearly events in Las Vegas. It has also evolved into an elaborate show where auto manufacturers can display some of their more over-the-top concepts from aftermarket customizers.

This year is no exception as Ford Motor Company recently announced that eight interpretations of five different Ford and Lincoln models will make their first appearance there on November the second.
Funkmaster Flex Explorer
The 2011 Ford Explorer as customized by Funkmaster Flex and Team Baurtwell features 24” Cooper Tires wrapped around a set of forged billet wheels. Inside, two-tone Katzkin leather seats will coddle occupants as they listen to the mellow sounds emanating from a custom Sony Xplod audio system.
Galpin Auto Sports Explorer
Galpin’s take on the 2011 Explorer is, according to Ford PR wags, “an ultra-luxurious ride that even James Bond would enjoy.” We’re not so sure 007 would ride on 24-inch wheels, but the leather-trimmed headliner with suede running down the center might suit his tastes, as would the standard M-inspired iPad that pops up from the second-row console.
CGS Explorer
But wait, there’s more as CGS Performance Products turns this 2011 Explorer into what the company calls “about outdoor adventure and doing it in comfort.” With that, this 2011 Explorer gets 22-inch silver wheels, a custom leather interior and a cat-back exhaust for “throatier sound” and improved fuel economy (yeah, not so sure that fuel economy thing was the main reason).
ID Agency Lincoln MKX
Falken tires, Brembo brakes, HRE wheels and Alpine electronics make this an “Urban Assault Vehicle” designed “with the modern man in mind” (obviously their words, not ours).
Rick Bottom Designs Taurus SHO
In this iteration, RBD takes the Q-Ship 2011 Taurus SHO and makes it a bit less of a stealth fighter. It will be harder to avoid spotting this SHO painted in pearl blue with bold “arrest me” graphics and a ground effects kit along with custom hood, grille and spoiler. And don’t try sneaking by them while playing its 16,000 watt audio system.
H&R Springs Taurus SHO
H&R Springs white platinum version sports a Borla cat-back exhaust and K&N air filter. Their signature springs are also present, as are 3-piece 22” wheels in white gold, European hood vents and gray mist graphics.
K-Daddyz Kustomz Edge
Hit the beach in a lowered 2011 Ford Edge featuring a custom airbrushed and pinstriped paint scheme. The leather and suede interior is topped of with a panoramic sunroof and custom surfboard rack. Hobie Alter, eat your heart out!
Steeda Autosports Fusion Sport
This silver 2011 Ford Fusion Sport is equipped with front and rear lowering sport springs as well as performance-tuned dampers and antiroll bars. Steeda finishes off the look with clearcoat bar code graphics and orange accents.
