2015 Hyundai Genesis Prices
At a national media drive event held yesterday in the shadows of Camelback Mountain in Scottsdale Arizona, Hyundai announced the pricing structure of its new Genesis sedan, unveiled in January at the North American International Auto Show.
Reflecting the desire by Hyundai to move the Genesis further up-market, the price for a base model equipped with a 3.8-liter V6 has been set at $38,950 including freight charges of $950, representing an overall increase in price of $2,830 over the outgoing base model while also reflecting an increase in freight of $30.
Much of the price hike, however, can be attributed to a boost in standard content which now includes an 8-inch navigation screen with rearview camera, paddle shifters, hill start assist, power folding outside mirrors, a standard driver knee airbag, power height adjustable and power lumbar passenger seat, HD radio, 4.3-inch TFT LCD instrument cluster display, the brand's Blue Link telematics system, SiriusXM Travel Link, a telescoping steering wheel, rear 1-touch up power windows and rain sensing wipers.
Also new for 2015 is an all-wheel-drive version of the 3.8-liter sedan, priced at a premium of $2,500 over the RWD version. As it's intended to be marketed in states with colder climates, the package also includes heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel and headlamp washers.
Option packages for the 3.8L start with a $4,000 MSRP signature package. The Technology Package tacks on an additional $3,000 MSRP while the Ultimate Package adds another $3,500 MSRP to the price.
The 5.0-liter Tau V8-equipped model has been pushed even further up-market as the entry-level version, available only with rear-wheel-drive, has been assigned a base price of $55,450, including destination – reflecting a $7,140 total price increase over the 2014 iteration.
The only option package available for the 5.0L models is another Ultimate Package, this one adding an MSRP of $3,250 to the bottom line of that model.
