The all-new 2017 Kia Cadenza comes with a slew of additional features and, maybe just as importantly, has a lower starting price than the outgoing model.

Earlier today, Kia Motors America released pricing information on the full-size Cadenza sedan, which is nearly all-new for the 2017 model year.

At 57.9 inches tall, 73.6 inches wide and with a length of 195.7 inches and a wheelbase of 112.4 inches, the new model's measurements are within a half inch of its predecessor. It also comes with all-new sheetmetal and a redesigned interior.

Under the hood, it retains the outgoing model's 3.3-liter V6, although both horsepower (from 293hp to 290hp) and maximum torque (from 255 lb.-ft. to 253 lb.-ft.) are down.

When it reaches Kia dealers later this month, Kia's largest front-wheel-drive sedan will be available in three trim levels: the entry-level Premium trim, mid-level Technology trim and top-end Limited trim.

2017 Kia Cadenza Premium

With a starting MSRP of $32,890, the 2017 Cadenza undercuts the current model's price by $1,000 – a move that not only makes the model more competitive, but also a sign that Kia is serious about gaining market share in a segment that has seen quite a bit of softening, sales-wise, in the last two years.

The list of standard equipment on the Premium model is also impressive and includes 17-inch alloy wheels, projector beam headlights, LED front positioning lights, rear combination lamps and center stop lights, heated outside mirrors, smart trunk, an acoustic windshield and front door laminated glass.

Inside, the seats are leather-trimmed as is the steering wheel and gear shift knob. Both the driver's (10-way) and front passenger's heated seats (8-way) are power adjustable, as is dual automatic climate control, a smart key with push-button start and a 7-inch color touchscreen that sports Kia's UVO infotainment system along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability.

Premium option packages include the Luxury Package (power folding outside mirrors, Harman Kardon audio system, blind spot detection with rear cross traffic alert and rear park assist) and a Panoramic Sunroof package that includes LED interior lighting.

2017 Kia Cadenza Technology

Step up to the Technology trim and you get steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, 19-inch alloy wheels, an "Intaglio" design front grille, LED fog lights and bi-function headlights, power folding outside mirrors with puddle lamps and rain sensing windshield wipers.

Inside, the tilt and telescoping steering wheel is now powered and heated, the parking brake is electronic, overhead and map lights are LED, the driver's (14-way) and passenger's (10-way) seats have more adjustments and are ventilated as well, while the driver's seat, outside mirrors and steering column have a memory function. The infotainment system is also upgraded and includes a larger 8-inch touchscreen, a navigation system, smartphone wireless charging and 630-watt Harman Kardon audio system.

More importantly, standard safety systems above and beyond the Limited include blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert, land change assist, rear park assist, high beam assist, autonomous emergency braking, smart cruise control, lane departure warning and forward collision warning.

The Limited trim includes all of the features found on the Technology, but adds a bit of bling to it all with 19-inch dark satin alloy wheels, side rear window and a power rear sunshade, Nappa quilted leather seat trim, heated rear outboard seats, a powered smart trunk, a surround view monitor and driver's head up display.
