Jeep unveils six Mopar prepared concept vehicles for the annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari

Who needs an egg hunt?

Forget about those furry little rabbits or spending time on the front lawn hunting for eggs – at least as far as Jeep fans are concerned. For a few thousand of them Easter break is all about trekking out to the Utah town of Moab for the annual week-long Moab Easter Jeep Safari.

Since 2002, Jeep and Chrysler's parts division have collaborated on 42 concept vehicles expressly for Jeep aficionados in attendance.  To help commemorate the event now in its 48th year, Jeep and Mopar have again collaborated on six new Jeep concepts – including, for the first time, the Jeep Cherokee - that will be on display between April 12th and 20th.2014 Easter Jeep Safari concepts

The six new concepts are as follows:
Jeep Wrangler Level Red
Jeep Wrangler Level Red

The Level Red (the highest level of difficulty an off-road trail can be designated) rides on a 2-inch lift kit with Dana 44 crate axles on the front and rear that feature a 4:10 ratio. Equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, a Rock-Trac transfer case provides a 4:1 low range while the 3.6-liter engine gets a cold-air intake and low-restriction exhaust system. Wrangler Level Red’s crawl ratio is 73:1.

The Pitch Black exterior gets a TorRed graphic stripe, "Rubicon 10th Anniversary" bumpers, black "Aero" bumper ends and an under-bumper skid plate and 17 x 8-inch beadlock-capable wheels wrapped in 35-inch BFGoodrich Mud Terrain tires. There's a Mopar half-door kit, Jeep Performance Parts tire carrier and rock rails as well as a locking gas cap, hood prop kit and badges for five "Badge of Honor" trails.

Inside there's Tuscany Katzkin leather seats with red stitching and Flame Red seat belt webbing. HVAC rings get TorRed inserts and the rear roll bar padding gets red accents. There’s also a gloss black trimmed steering wheel and dash grab handle, Jeep Cargo Management System (JCMS), all-weather floor mats, grab handles, and a lockable storage bin under the seat.

The Jeep Wrangler MOJO (the "OJ" in the name stands for "Orange Jeep") comes with 2-inch lift, locking Dana 44 front and rear axles and a 4:1 Rock-Trac transfer case with a crawl ratio of 59:1. The 3.6-liter V-6 engine gets a cold air intake and low restriction exhaust.

The Wrangler MOJO also features Jeep  "Shorty" bumpers and flat-top fenders, 37-inch BFGoodrich Mud Terrain tires, beadlock wheels, a Mopar "Rubicon X" hood with bronze "mapping"-accented topographical graphics. There's also a "Rubicon X" front bumper, rock rails, an under-bumper skid plate, a prototype Jeep Performance Parts winch, LED headlamps and fog lamps, front and rear two-tone half-door kits and a soft top. There's also a Badge of Honor plate that shows the trails Wrangler MOJO has mastered including five Moab "Badge of Honor" badges.

Inside there's a two-tone instrument panel and console, black Katzkin seat covers, all-weather floor mats, Mopar sunbonnet and roll bar pads trimmed in a Driftwood sand and a Mopar lockable rear cargo tray.

Aimed at hard-core enthusiasts, the Wrangler Maximum Performance comes with push-button electric-locking Dana 60 axles at the front and rear, 4.88 gearing a 4:1 Rock-Trac transfer case and 4-inch lift kit with a 70:1 crawl ratio.

The exterior boasts a "Stinger" front bumper, a front bumper skid plate, Rubicon rock rails, a flattop fender kit and five Moab "Badge of Honor" badges on the left fender. Its black bumper was modified with a prototype winch with LED lights mounted to the top of the vehicle and a Moab landscape graphics package on the hood.

Its Mopar Blue exterior matches the beadlock ring the  eight-lug  wheels that are wrapped with 37-inch BFGoodrich Mud Terrain tires while the hardtop features full steel doors, a prototype tire carrier and a 37-inch spare tire cover with the Jeep Performance Parts logo.

Inside, Mopar Blue highlights the HVAC bezels and steering wheel accents. Katzkin leather seats and armrest feature embroidered Jeep logos with blue accent stitching. The interior also features satin trim on the instrument panel, shift knob and HVAC controls, while the steering wheel spokes and dash grab handles are trimmed in black.

The Jeep Cherokee Adventurer boasts a 48:1 crawl ratio, rock rails, a two-piece underbody skid plate, a front suspension skid plate, an oil tank skid plate and a two-piece fuel tank skid plate.

Its tan exterior is accented by a Trailhawk black hood decal and matte black Mopar roof basket with bungee net. BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires are mounted on 17-inch wheels featuring aluminum granite crystal and black pockets while red tow hooks adorn the front.

Inside there are black Katzkin leather seats with perforated inserts, maize-embroidered Jeep logos and matching stitching on the leather-wrapped steering wheel, arm rest and shift boot. The HVAC and door switch bezels, instrument panel and steering wheel receive tan inserts that match the exterior color. The Jeep Cargo Management System comes with a Trailhawk bag and a Moab off-road bag. Bright door sill guards feature the Cherokee logo while all-weather mats and a cargo tray wrap things up.

The Jeep Cherokee Dakar comes with a Silver Steel Satin exterior with contrasting Flame Red graphics surrounding the window and black hood graphic. Flame Red is also used in two pockets on the 17-inch polished Satin wheels as well as the Cherokee nameplate.

Up front, Flame Red inserts trim the seven-slot grille, and lower fascia, while the Cherokee Dakar is equipped with rock rails, an oil pan skid plate, front suspension skid plate, two-piece fuel tank and underbody skid plates.

The wheel openings have been modified to accommodate 33-inch BFGoodrich Mud Terrain tires. It also has a lift kit and additional suspension modifications plus wider fender flares with riveted bolts. The crawl ratio is 48:1 and a modified rear fascia allows for a more aggressive departure angle while estimated approach and departure angles are 32 and 39 degrees, respectively.

The interior comes with Katzkin leather black seats and "Machined Gunmetal" inserts along with Header Red stitching, which is also found on the steering wheel, armrest and shift boot. A Flame Red insert accents the entertainment center. Accessories include all-weather floor mats, bright door-sill guards with the Cherokee logo, a cargo tray, a JCMS with Trailhawk bag and Moab off-road bag.

Last but not least and sitting higher due to its Quadra-Lift air suspension is the Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel Trail Warrior featuring a 44:1 crawl ratio and Mojave Sand exterior with Satin Black trim on the grille, hood, lower front fascia, door handles, mirror caps, wheel flares and badging.

It's also equipped with a roof basket mounted on production cross rails, 20-inch Satin black cast aluminum wheels wrapped with All-Terrain BFGoodrich tires, tow hooks and rock rails. The interior features a black-and-tan dual tone scheme with gloss black accents on the HVAC bezels, steering wheel and instrument panel and is finished off with all-weather floor mats, door sills, lighted Jeep logo sills, a pedal kit and a cargo tray.
