Chrysler's Dodge brand took the wraps off its 2014 Challenger R/T Shaker during media days at the 2013 SEMA Show last November with Dodge President and CEO Tim Kuniskis announcing at the time that "The legendary Shaker performance hood is back, with its engine-mounted, fully floating scoop and exposed high-flow element that produces cold-air induction -- making the new 2014 Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker the real deal."

Evidently, a great many Dodge dealers agreed because from the time orders were opened on January 7th through January 10th, Dodge received enough to fill the entire planned 2,000 unit production run.

Shaking all over

Even as we write this, 2014 Dodge Challenger R/T Shakers are shipping from the company's Brampton, Ontario Assembly facility and are beginning to arrive at Dodge dealerships here in the U.S.

Pricing for the model begins at an MSRP of $37,990, including destination charges ($38,490 with the custom hood-to-tail stripes) - representing a premium of $2,500 above the Challenger R/T Classic – and includes a number of features including:
