With summer sale deals fast approaching, more and more Americans will be wandering the local car dealerships checking out how much they can save on gas and rebates, thoughts eventually turn towards how they'll eventually pay for it. Most of us don't have savings that can pick up the tab like they used to which leaves you looking for auto financing from an outside source.
Local Area Lending Options
Say you're looking at new cars under 20 000, which is a pretty typical price range and know you can cover the down payment but know beyond that its anyone's guess. Many automakers are offering longer then usual 0% financing on new cars but the credit rating requirements for such deals are often quite steep. If you don't have excellent credit you likely won't qualify.
Which isn't to terrible since most 0% finance deals on new cars mean you cannot take the fat rebate as well, but it means you still need to find financing. You could take that new car under 20 000 and try and get it financed at a bank or credit union in your area. The rate will be a bit more flat then at a dealership but if you are below sub-prime you still might not be able to swing help from either lender.
