"Isuzu's oldest SUV comes as a 4-dr wagon called the Rodeo and as a 2-dr wagon and convertible called the Rodeo Sport. Base prices are reduced on both for 2003. The 4-dr Rodeo is Isuzu's top-selling vehicle. The Sport is basically a shortened version of the 4-dr wagon. The Sport comes as a hardtop with a pop-up front sunroof or as a semiconvertible with a folding soft top over the back seat. All body styles have a side-hinged tailgate with externally mounted spare tire. The wagons have flip-up tailgate glass. Both Rodeo and Sport come with a 4-cyl or V6 engine. Sport convertibles use only the 4 cyl and manual transmission. Other models offer manual or automatic transmission. All 4-cyl models are 2WD. V6 versions offer 4WD that must be disengaged on dry pavement but includes low-range gearing. ABS is standard; side airbags are unavailable. The dashboard is revised for '03, and on 4-dr models, a CD player, rear privacy glass, and full-size spare tire are newly standard. All have 16-inch wheels. The 4-dr Rodeo no longer is available with 18-inch wheels or adjustable suspension, and creating options packages out of some previously standard equipment helps cut its base price as much as $2381. Sport's base price decreases as much as $2376 with no significant changes in equipment."
