GMC Canyon Reviews - 2007
The 2007 GMC Canyon is a 4-door, up to 5-passenger compact pickup, that has 3 body styles (SL, SLE, and SLT) and 5 trims, ranging from the Work Truck to the SLT. The GMC Canyon crew cab has a 5-foot bed and all other trims have a 6-foot bed. The engine sizes vary on the GMC Canyon from a 2.9-L, I4, 185-hp up to a 3.7L, I5, 242-hp. A 4-speed automatic transmission is standard on most trims but there is an optional 5-speed manual on some trims.
The GMC Canyon SL has the following features: driver and passenger airbags, ABS brakes, 15" alloy wheels, locking tailgate, anti-theft, interval wipers, folding exterior mirror, tinted glass, bumper step-up, skid plate, air-conditioning, cruise control, tire pressure monitor, tilt steering, power steering, access door, cloth interior, AM/FM stereo, and automatic headlights. The top shelf GMC Canyon SLT adds: a CD player, keyless entry with remote controls, full power accessories, anti-lockout, privacy glass, power adjustable mirrors, temperature gauge, compass, driver and passenger power seats, front bucket seats, power lumbar, heated front seats, and leather interior. Most of the features on the SLT are available on SLE as standard or optional.
Major upgrade options (depending on trim) include; a bedliner, exterior body lights, radio anti-theft, chrome wheels, hands-free telephone, vehicle location system, OnStar®, XM satellite radio, 6-disc CD changer and a power sunroof.
The starting MSRP for the 2007 GMC Canyon is $13,900 for the regular cab and rises to $23,940 for the crew cab.
