The redesigned 2009 Kia Optima is a 4-door, 5-passenger sedan that is available in 5 trims. These trims range from the LX to the SX. The Kia Optima LX comes with a 2.4 liter, I4, 175hp engine and a 5-speed manual transmission with an optional automatic transmission. The 2009 Kia Optima SX has a standard 2.7 liter, V6, 194hp engine and a 5-speed automatic transmission. The new 2009 Kia Optima averages 20mpg in the city and 27mpg on the highway. The basic warranty for the 2009 Kia Optima is 60,000mi/60 month.
