2009 Saturn Sky Review
The 2009 Saturn Sky has been carried over from 2008. The Saturn Sky is a 2-door, 2-passenger convertible sports car that is offered in 4 models starting at the Roadster and extending to the Ruby Red Special Edition. The Saturn Sky Roadster has a routine 2.4 liter, I4, 173hp engine while the Sky Red Line Ruby Red has a 2.0 liter, I4, 260hp engine. A 5-speed manual transmission is routine on all models with an optional 5-speed automatic. The Saturn Sky averages 19 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. A 36,000 mile/36 month is the basic warranty for the Saturn Sky.

The Saturn Sky Red Line Ruby Red Special Edition comes with the following features: power accessories, OnStar® vehicle tracking, radio anti-theft, ABS brakes, traction/stability control, power outlets, OnStar® hands free phone, CD player, MP3 player, radio data display, daytime running lights, fog light, automatic headlights, air conditioning, trip computer, steering wheel mounted controls, temperature gauge, tire pressure monitor, cruise control, keyless entry, remote controls, trunk anti-trap, GPS crash sensing signal, driver/passenger reclining seats, tilt steering column, lockable glove box, manual soft convertible top, rear glass window, power exterior mirrors and tinted glass. *All above mentioned features may not be standard on other models.

Summary General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2006-2010 Pontiac Solstice and 2007-2010 Saturn Sky vehicles. The Passenger Air Bag Suppression System (PPS) sensor may become bent or damaged within the front passenger seat, possibly disabling the front passenger air bag.
Consequence In the event of a crash, if the front passenger air bag does not deploy as intended, the front passenger has an increased risk of injury.
Remedy The remedy for this recall is still under development. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Pontiac customer service at 1-800-762-2737 or Saturn customer service at 1-800-553-6000. GM's number for this recall is 17036.

The Rollover Resistance Rating is an estimate of your risk of rolling over if you have a single vehicle crash. It does not predict the likelihood of that crash. The Rollover Resistance Rating utilizes a "fishhook" maneuver which is a series of abrupt turns at varying speeds to see how "top-heavy" a vehicle is. The more "top-heavy" the vehicle, the more likely it is to roll over. The lowest rated vehicles (1-star) are at least four times more likely to roll over than the highest rated vehicles (5-stars).
