Public days are well underway at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show and it looks as if this year will see well over a million visitors to the show as last year topped that mark and, early on, attendance is up 20 percent over the same time last year. Among the new models on display never seen by the public are a midsize crossover and two pickups from Chevrolet.

Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd., GAC for short, is back in the Motor City after a year's hiatus, determined to make its mark on the world stage at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. To accomplish this, the Chinese manufacturer is offering show goers a glimpse of its lineup with three models on display.

When it does hit dealer showrooms, the NX will be available in three versions. Each will be available in either 2-wheel-drive or 4-wheel drive. The NX 200t and NX 200t F-Sport come with the first turbocharged engine in the brand's history. The NX 300h hybrid, for its part, comes with a new transmission with a kick-down function as well as a hybrid battery split into two separate pods for optimal weight distribution.

Since 2002, FCA's parts division has collaborated on no fewer than 48 concept vehicles expressly for those Jeep aficionados in attendance. To help commemorate the event now in its 49th year, Jeep and Mopar have again collaborated on seven new concept vehicles. Included for the first time is the all-new Jeep Renegade and it plus the other six will be on display between March 28th and April 5th.

With the auto industry coming off its best November in 13 years, even with one less selling day, sales for the Toyota brand were up 3 percent over last November, making it the best-selling retail brand for the month. Meanwhile, its Lexus division posted a 7 percent year-over-year increase.
