Good Features

The 2006 Toyota Prius, other than its looks (like an ants head from the movie Ant Bully), has many good features. In particular, it gets outstanding mileage – saying that it belongs to the group of 30 mpg cars is an understatement. Also, the amount of emissions this fuel efficient car gives off is low. That’s a good thing to know when everyone is trying to go green. One day, I would love to drive one of these used cars with outstanding mileage and low emissions.

The Space

Even a first-generation used Toyota Prius is very spacious inside; the back seat has a good amount of leg room. Another thing that I am impressed with is its storage space. Even though the car is small for a midsize sedan, the back seats offer a lot of room for taller people. The back seats also fold down to add more cargo space. It’s almost like a never-ending shoebox that you can store all your stuff in. I think having a lot of storage in a car is always an awesome plus.

Interior Features

The Toyota Prius definitely has some features that are nice, like the automatic climate control system that runs strictly on electricity. This means the A/C will continue to run even when the car engine isn’t running. The car also has a humidity sensor and smart programming that allows the A/C to run only when necessary, so you could technically put the A/C on auto and not always waste energy.

Safety

The Prius also comes with antilock brakes, brake assist, and traction control. It received four out of five stars in driver’s side frontal impact, passenger’s side frontal impact, and rear side impact - which I think is pretty good. The Prius received a “good” in the IIHS testing for its frontal crash and side crash ratings.

Final Thoughts

The Prius is a fuel efficient green car with a whole lot of space. I would recommend that anyone check this car out. And anyway, wouldn’t it be cool to be inside a bug’s head?
