Proving that there is, indeed, "gold in them thar hills" especially when it comes to special edition muscle cars in limited numbers, Chrysler’s Dodge brand had no problem selling its dealers every single copy of the limited edition Mopar ’14 Challenger it plans on offering.
"The very high demand for the Mopar ’14 Challenger spotlights the success of our limited-edition, Mopar-modified vehicles, and also clearly demonstrates the passion our customers have for personalizing their rides," said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group’s service, parts and customer-care brand.
Featuring two exterior color options and three Mopar Blue stripe options, the Mopar ’14 Dodge Challenger also comes standard with the venerable 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 tucked beneath a Satin Black Shaker hood scoop. Exterior extras include 20 x 8-inch Gloss Black aluminum wheels with Mopar center caps, Black Vapor grille surround, black fuel-filler door, Satin Black deck-lid spoiler replete with Gloss Black "Mopar Design" badge plus "Mopar" quarter-glass decals.
Upgrades to the interior include leather seats with "Mopar Blue" accent thread, Mopar "Omega M" logos embroidered on the seat backs, "Mopar" key fobs, a custom owner’s kit with Mopar ’14 brochure and, as Dodge puts it, "much, much more."

But while it may be too late to snag one with a serialized instrument panel plaque, Mopar would like Challenger aficionados with money burning a hole in their pockets to know that they can still get the next best thing at their local dealership.
