Dallas Cowboys Ford F-150 Revealed

Ford has announced a limited run of 400 Dallas Cowboys F-150 Special Edition models just in time for tailgate season.

Texas is not only the nation's largest truck market, it's also home to the NFL's self-proclaimed "America's Team", the Dallas Cowboys. So it seems fitting that, with tailgate season upon us, Ford has chosen to release a limited-edition Dallas Cowboys F-150 in little more than a week before the Cowboys open their season at home against the New York Giants.

It makes sense. The Ford F-Series is the best-selling truck in Texas, while the Cowboys, despite a disappointing 2015 season, still hold the NFL record for most consecutive sell-outs and are the only NFL team to record 20 straight winning seasons.

While not the first time Ford has teamed up (pun intended) with the organization, it's been awhile, as the last time this occurred it resulted in the 1994 Dallas Cowboys Limited Edition XLT.

"It has been 22 years since Ford and the Dallas Cowboys offered a Cowboys edition F-150," says Greg Wood, Ford Dallas regional sales manager. "I can't think of a better way to celebrate the opening of the Ford Center at The Star and the beginning of a new Cowboys season than to offer fans of both F-150 and the Dallas Cowboys the opportunity to purchase one of these incredible trucks."

Like its predecessor, the 2017 Dallas Cowboys F-150 is based on the XLT trim with Chrome Package (which, not coincidentally, is the number one volume seller in Texas. Painted in "legendary Cowboys helmet silver", in addition to the standard fare found on the F-150 XLT series, the Cowboys Edition pickup includes:

• Exclusive Cowboys edition star badging on front doors and tailgate
• Blue-white-blue rocker panel striping paying tribute to team's over-the-top helmet stripe
• 20-inch chrome wheels with unique Cowboys star center caps
• Molded heavy-duty cargo bed mat with iconic Cowboys star logo
• Laser-etched chrome foot plates featuring legendary Cowboys word mark for front doors
• Cowboys edition logo stitched in front and rear floor mats

The Manufacturer's Suggest Retail Price for the Dallas Cowboys F-150 is $41,925 but good luck finding one if you're a Dallas fan living anywhere other than in the Lone Star State as it is, according to Ford, "on sale now at select Texas Ford dealers."
