On display at the Toyota stand at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show is a refreshed Avalon sedan as well as special edition models of the Camry and Corolla
2016 Toyota Avalon
Unveiled in 2012, the Toyota Avalon receives a facelift just four years into its model cycle. For 2016, the Avalon will be available in a total of five trim levels (XLE, XLE Plus, XLE Premium, Limited and Touring) with gasoline-powered models (a hybrid drivetrain is also available) powered by Toyota's 268 horsepower direct injection 3.5-liter V6.
Up front, the upper grille has been narrowed while the lower grille is wider and lower and is bracketed by a pair of vertical, recessed turn signals that replace a pair of small, round fog lights.
In back, the LED taillights have been re-configured, while a chrome accent strip has been added to the rear bumper, while interior changes include new gray accent stitching with the light gray interior.
Other changes are trim level-specific. XLE and XLE Plus grades receive new 17-inch alloys, a 7-inch touchscreen, woodgrain dash trim and a tire-specific TPMS system. XLE Premium models now come standard with Toyota's premium audio with navigation and app suite with Qi wireless charging. Touring models receive redesigned 18-inch alloy wheels, a sportier front fascia and LED headlights with LED daytime running lights.
In addition, there are now two suspension tunings for Avalon. XLE through Limited grades will come with a suspension that prioritizes comfort, while the Touring model will receive a suspension that "provides a more dynamic and responsive driving experience."
