According to VW, the 2017 e-Golf comes with a city driving EPA estimated fuel economy of 126 miles per gallon gasoline equivalent (MPGe). On the highway, it's rated at 111 MPGe, while its combined city/ highway estimate is 119 MPGe.
Those numbers are, for the most part, improved over the 2016 EPA estimates, which were 126/105/116 city/highway/combined. It also makes the 2017 e-Golf's EPA estimates, at least so far, the best in the Compact Class.
The General resurrected the Redline name (this time making it a single word) for the 2015 SEMA Show. Buoyed by the response from the Las Vegas crowd, the manufacturer has decided that, once again, buyers should be offered a bevy of Redline-modified models (although, in this case, the changes are purely cosmetic).
In a first for the Canadian International Auto Show, an all-new car model made its world premiere there during the show's annual media day.
The 2018 Hyundai Accent, the best-selling model in its segment in Canada, has been redesigned to bring its styling more in line with the brand's other sedans. It's also 0.6 inches longer and 1.14 inches wider than the outgoing model.
In what has become a tradition at the show, media day marks the handing out of the Canadian Car of the Year Awards. Judged by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC), the awards program is now in its 32nd year and currently consists of the overall Canadian Car of the Year and Canadian Utility of the Year awards as well as, this year, 10 additional categories of "Best New" winners.
